Most anno I feel bad only marking this two stars, because I’m a big fan of Emilie Autumn. The lines can get choppier than they probably need to be, but that is my biggest complaint from the more modern poetry. I wish I could drain the words I ingested from this book out of my brain and spit them out of my mouth. I don’t like Autumn’s sots “Written between the ages 13 and 18” she was in her twenties. Jun 19, Ashley Clark rated it it was amazing.
Not emklie some of the more well known performance poets out there. To view it, click here.

I’d recommend fans to give it a read, and maybe people who enjoy poetry about longing and love. Most of them were also very simple or just plain bad and it was annoying how Emilie constantly used ”thy” and ”thou”.
This book as stated by autumn in her bio on untouchdd and other sites was actually written in her early twenties. The paperback printed version of this was released inas across the sky and other poems, however, did not contain many of the new poems added to this edition which was released in Would recommend to Autumn fans definitely, and casual fans of gothic arts and poetry.
Close for example contained the disturbingly telling line, “You make me feel worthy of pinching”. Plus I was a little curious about her poetry since I have already read The Aautumn book and wanted to see what I’d find in this work.

In truth I hated this release the most. Poetry is the one type of writing where you’re supposed to be able to do what you wanna do.
I’m glad she likes my country but really, stereotyping? I love her instrumental work and sung records but any audio emllie type or literary publication, she has published usually at a later date than claimed, bored the hell out of me.
It was interesting reading her poems about love and its affects in her life.

Hell, don’t even consider this an option! The recording is really well done and the accompanying music goes so well with it, contributing to the poetry but never overwhelming it. I would have preferred to just read the poems and not hear this later edition published with the accompanying music. Just as is her novel “TAFWVG” allegedly being cited at Oxford university which according to her is in London anyways, they we’re banal with their want to be acknowledged as if “Shakespearean” misusing phrases like “thou, thy” etc, in modern context and extremely cheesy.
Nov 13, Raven rated it it was amazing. However, even the ones I thought were emlie bad had some shining moments. A common complaint, I’ve noticed, is the Fakespearean language she uses on a few. I particularly enjoyed the ‘Blackbird Sonnets’, but then, I am a sucker for mini-series of poetry.
Her natural speaking voice would have been fine and would have felt more personal. I think this is a definite must for all EA fans, and for poetry enthusiasts. Contrary to what English classes will have you believe, most artists don’t intend their work to be hyper-analyzed, anyway. She forces rhymes where the poem would be very lovely without rhyme. Aug 22, JackingOffJill rated it did not like it. No trivia or quizzes yet. That’s what I find grates with most of her music though, it’s always so samey there is never any freshness to it and this would have been better with just words.
Her best project will always be Opheliac which I would consider more of her debut because this was when she was finally recognised and started to gain a following.
