I found this a difficult book to rate. I don’t claim to know much about the NY mafia but after searching over the internet for information on Casso and the five crime families one can’t help but come to the conclusion that while this book tries to paint a picture of Casso as a smart and successful mafioso the truth really is that he was a crazy, bloodthirsty and greatly paranoid killer.
